NRA Women's Leadership Forum

Greetings,

This past Saturday, I had a wonderful opportunity to attend the first Colorado meeting of the NRA Women's Leadership Forum.  We met at a lovely venue, the Wellshire Inn of Denver, a quaint castle-type structure with tons of character.  There were about 25 of us present, and we were privileged to hear Sandy Froman, Past President of NRA and current board member of both NRA and NRA Foundation.  She was pleasant and easy to listen to.  We all greatly enjoyed hearing her personal tale of how she went from being a liberal to a gun-loving conservative.  Someone attempted to break into her house, and she decided not to be victimized.  She pointed out that many liberals are really conservatives who have not yet been mugged.  :)

According to their literature, the NRA Women's Leadership Forum 'unites women of influence to defend Second Amendment freedoms and help secure the future of the NRA through philanthropic leadership'.  There were five of us who are part of the Colorado Friends of NRA program, and it was a great opportunity for us to have a ladies afternoon out and fellowship with each other.  Anne Draper, a member of the Women's Leadership Council, and the organizer of the event, did a tremendous job and made the luncheon quite enjoyable.  We all agreed that the word-of-mouth that will follow this event should make our next event much larger.  We are all looking forward to it already.

We are compiling an email mailing list of any interested women.  Please send me your contact information if you'd like to be included in the updates for future events.  gchermack@nrahq.org
